Swelling and or excessive heat radiating from the stifle joint

Muscle wastage in effected leg

Popping noise may be hear if a miniscal tear has occured

Reduced range of motion of stifle joint

What it can be caused by

Day to day wear and tear of Cruciate Ligament
Instability of the (stifle joint)
Repetitive stress of the joint from a particular exercise or activity
Genetically predispositioned to a weakened cruciate ligament in the hind
Excessive weight placing excess strain on the joint
